Stars acquire Tukonen from Kings for Clune (AP) The Dallas Stars acquired right wing Lauri Tukonen from the Los Angeles Kings for left wing Richard Clune on Monday. Tukonen was Los Angeles' first-round selection, No. 11 overall, in the 2004 draft. He has skated in five career NHL games with the Kings. Tukonen, 21, spent last season with Manchester of the AHL and had nine goals and 26 assists in 62 games.
Stars Team Report (Yahoo! Sports) <p><p>There are still few months before training camp begins for the Stars. But for some of their younger members, pushing for a place on the team may have begun two weeks ago at the Stars' development camp. And while there aren't many positions left to fill, that won't stop some of the young guys from trying.</p>
<p>James Neal and Raymond Sawada are two who have the best chance at making the Stars' team come September. Francis Wathier isn't too far behind. Each is young, gifted, and ready to take the next step. Stars coach Dave Tippett said they all fared well at the week-long development sessions.</p>
<p>"(Neal's) a hard-working guy, and you have to figure out how to use work ethic to accomplish the most you can," Tippett said.
